New Fiberglass Masts
Three members of the WMIYC have a mold for fiberglass masts and have built 28 of them as of March 2006.This is the seventh year of building these mast and they are fast.
Each mast is full tapered and made of 22oz triaxial cloth with a fiberglass tube for the sail slot
and an internal halyard and mast hound. (See mast building for pictures)

Ice Picks
(Life Insurance on the ice)These are made of wood with a spike in each piece, so when you go through the ice you can get yourself out. Each one has two coats of Spar Varnish and a line with a cord lock to keep the two pieces together. We had a members son sail onto thin ice and break through with his DN . He used these to get himself out even before we could sail back to him. A necessity if you are going out on the ice $5.00 each plus shipping and handling. Purchase ten for your club and we will send you one free.
Quick Pins
WMIYC had these Stainless Steel pins machined. Many club members have been using this style of pin for several years and the biggest advantage is ease of use with gloves. No one has ever had a problem with these coming off. Once you use these you will never go back to pins with rings or any other type of pin. We will sell these as a set 6 for $36.00 plus shipping and handling.Reminder: On the tang adjuster be sure to put a bolt with a nylock nut in the hole just above the bottom one, this will prevent the tang from widening. Then these will not release.
