All WLYC members 12 years old or entering 7th grade are invited to join the White Lake Junior Yacht Club! The Juniors' first meeting will be a sundae bar at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 18th. Dues are $15, which pays for most expenses, including t-shirts. Last year's t-shirts were neon green with blue printing – send in your suggestions for color combinations for this year!

The Juniors are involved in a variety of activities lasting throughout summer. This year's White Lake Days Carnival will be on Saturday, July 24 from 10:00-12:00. Plan on being at the meeting on the 23rd to make posters and for pizza! The annual Junior Blueberry Pancake Breakfast will be on Sunday, August 1st from 9:00-12:00. This will be a fun family weekend – the Mojzak's annual Shrimp Boil will be on Saturday! Other activities planned for this year include poker runs, Junior Bash (invite a friend!), and a trip to Craig's Cruisers. Most meetings and activities are Friday nights at 7:00.

Juniors are also eligible to race in the Sunday Butterfly series. At the end of each year, the Juniors decide on a gift for the club that will be decided in one of the final meetings. Junior Racing
Junior Butterfly racing will take place on Sunday morning starting at ten o'clock. Anyone who is junior age or younger may race in the Sunday junior races as long as they pay Junior dues and have no one above junior age with them in the boat. The WLJYC Sunday race committee chairman is Tim Keck.

Duane Pierson Trophy
Racing for the this trophy is held every Sunday during the summer season. The races start at 10:00 am The Duane Pierson Trophy is awarded to the Champion of the Sunday racing series for Juniors. Duane was a past Commodore of the WLYC and a avid Butterfly racer.
